About the Authors

Eileen Bodoh and Katherine Scherer

  Katherine Scherer and Eileen Bodoh have authored and published “Gratitude Works: Open Your Heart to Love” and e-books “Gratitude Works Journal” and “Gratitude Works Prayer Book.”  They are also contributing authors in “101 Great Ways to Improve Your Health” published by www.selfgrowth.com and Katherine’s story “Thank God my Husband was an Alcoholic: The Power of Gratitude, A Senior Citizen’s Story,” appears in Book One of the book series, “Thank God I – Stories of Inspiration for Every Situation”.

  Katherine is retired as a partner in a 32-year old family business involved in the finished end of exclusive residential development.  She has facilitated various master mind and self-improvement groups over the years, and was a religious education teacher for grades two through twelve while her 4 children were growing up.  Her training at Family Service and the Women’s Crisis line in Milwaukee helped her lead parent education groups.  She is also a protege of Mark Victor Hansen and Robert Allen.

  Eileen is retired from her career as a legal secretary, and is currently an active community volunteer, serving as chair for several cultural events in Milwaukee.  She received the Decoration of Merit in Silver from the Republic of Austria for her long-term commitment and service to the Austrian community in Milwaukee. Formerly, she attended workshops with Elisabeth Kubler-Ross and had served as a hospice volunteer.  Both Katherine and Eileen completed the hospice “Twilight Brigade/Compassion in Action” training founded by Dannion Brinkley.  Eileen was instrumental in creating a successful holistic health conference.

  Following their mission to “touch lives with the spirit of gratitude,” Katherine and Eileen have gifted copies of “Gratitude Works” to The I AM Foundation in San Diego, and over 1200 copies to women prisoners in Texas.  Excerpts from “Gratitude Works” and articles on gratitude have been featured in publications in Florida, California, New Mexico, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, and Canada.  They have been featured as guest authors in the “Allbooks Review” newsletter, “Eaglezine” Newsletter, on www.terrikay.com, and as authors of the month on www.BoomerWomenSpeak.com .  Katherine has been a featured guest on various radio broadcasts.
